This is a great ambient record. If you want to discover Eluvium's piano-based albums, I highly recommend "An accidental memory in the case of death". I'll try to post it soon.

Opeth - The throat of winter (2011 - FLAC)

7 inch single featuring an only song, included in the sountrack of the videogame God of war: blood & metal. Unfortunately, I don't own the vinyl so I had to search it on the web.

The song is obviously worth to listen, especially because it has a classic guitar and some flamenco influences in its rythm and soloing. I heard the song for the first time when they performed it a few weeks ago during their Heritage tour. Enjoy.

Bloodbath - Breeding Death EP (2000 - ALAC)

Bloodbath were in this record: Mikael Akerfeldt (vocals - Opeth), Anders Nyström (guitars - Katatonia), Jonas Renske (bass - Katatonia) and Dan Swanö (drums - Edge of Sanity, Nightingale...). This constellation of deathstars recorded this EP as a tribute to old school death metal acts. What they didn't know is that, after so many years and line-up changes, they'd become an established band. Soon I'll post their last work.

Anekdoten - Gravity (2003 - ALAC)

Anekdoten is a four piece prog rock band from Sweden. Gravity is their fourth album out of five, all of them released through their own label, Virta.
They are notable for the use of the mellotron and their heavy sound dominated by a pounding bass guitar. Their music is associated with the tradition of 1970s progressive rock music, especially that of King Crimson. (wikipedia)

Æon Spoke - Æon Spoke (2007 - ALAC)

... and this is the second album I purchased yesterday.

Æon Spoke is a down-tempo rock band created by Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert. You should know them because they also are Cynic fathers and were Death former members... no more no less!

This is no metal at all. It's a "white" album, pure, transparent... it seems to have been a therapeutic creation for such a mystic soul as Masvidal's. So what you'll find here is music grown up from feelings: delicate and beautiful songs, introspective and healing lyrics, superb sonngwriting... I love when an extreme metal songwriter comes up with such a different and beautiful project. A haunting album.

John Wesley - The lilypad suite (2011 - ALAC)

I went shopping yesterday and I bought two albums. This is the first one...

John Wesley is an American singer, songwriter and guitar player. Besides his solo work, he's famous because of his multiple collaborations with some well-known musicians and bands. The most remarkable are Fish and Porcupine Tree. Wesley has toured with Wilson's band for their last four albums as sideman, guitarist/vocalist, and contributed in the recording process of all of them as well.

This is his seventh studio album, a mellow prog rock collection of songs. Hope you like it. If anyone does and want more Wesley's music, just leave a comment. :-)

Opeth - Heritage + bonus tracks (2011 - ALAC)

Opeth: what else should I say?  Top-three in my favourite lifetime bands. 10th LP, evolving their sound record after record. In Heritage you'll find no growls, no death metal vocals, only clean ones. The sound is more prog rock-oriented and they manage very succesfully, as usual, to keep their dark and beauty essence in every song.

Note: the album is in ALAC enconding, the two bonus tracks in 320 kbps mp3. Sorry.

toe - For Long Tomorrow (2009 - ALAC)
